Our blue planet – over 70% of its surface is covered by water. Seas, rivers and lakes, ponds, streams and oceans all harbour an immeasurable abundance of life. A wealth of shapes and colours that is unmatched on land. Bizarre deep-sea fish, as if sprung from a science fiction film, clouds of plankton reminiscent of distant galaxies, huge swarms, dwarfs and giants – a realm of superlatives. Sometimes colourful and cheerful, sometimes bizarre and mysterious, and always breathtaking!
In this extraordinary outdoor exhibition, the GDT presents 48 photographs by Europe's best underwater photographers. A best-of selection of the winning images in the underwater world category of the renowned GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition from the last 20 years. Be inspired and enchanted, and dive into the hidden underwater world without getting your feet wet!
