The German Society for Nature Photography (GDT) is looking for the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021!
For the 21st time, the GDT invites professional and non-professional photographers from all over Europe to join this year‘s competition.
In this extraordinary year, we wish all our members, cooperation partners, sponsors, competition participants and nature photo friends all over the world a very peaceful and happy Christmas season and look forward with confidence and hope to a good 2021!

... to competition pageOlympus has been the premium partner of the GDT since 2017. Various projects and campaigns have been implemented with Olympus in recent years, for example at the GDT International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen. We are looking forward to our further cooperation.
The winners of the renowned competition European Wildlife Photographer of the Year have been awarded in the first virtual but absolutely festive award ceremony on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
Jasper Doest with his photograph A Monkey's Mask came out as the overall winner of the competition.

More information...With a heavy heart we decided to cancel this year's International Nature Photography Festival due to corona pandemic. It was a very difficult decision;in the GDT's history of almost 50 years, this has never happened before.
More information...Since May 19, 2020, the Stadtmuseum Schleswig has reopened at regular opening times and presents the exhibition European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019. The pictures can be viewed until Sunday, June 14, 2020. The planned tours unfortunately have to be canceled.
