For the 26th time the GDT is looking for

the EUROPEAN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

and invites all amateur and professional photographers from all over Europe to participate.

The German Society for Nature Photography invites all amateur and professional photographers from all over Europe to take part in the
EUROPEAN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR competition.

The closing date for entries is 1 March 2026.

26 years of showcasing the diversity, innovation, and emotional power of contemporary nature photography. Your images can help celebrate the beauty of nature while raising awareness of pressing environmental issues! Submit your photographs by March 1, 2026, and impress a distinguished jury of international experts from photography and journalism.

The winning images will go on tour as part of an exhibition following the awards ceremony at the International Nature Photography Festival (October 23–25) and will be showcased across Germany and Europe for three years. Cash and material prizes worth over 45,000 EUR will be awarded.
